Details

The AI-900: Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals certification is an entry-level credential designed to validate your foundational understanding of machine learning and AI concepts and related Microsoft Azure services. This exam is ideal for students who are new to AI and want to establish a solid base before pursuing more advanced Azure AI certifications. The certification covers five core areas: considerations for Artificial Intelligence; fundamentals of Machine Learning on Azure; features of Computer Vision on Azure; features of Natural Language Processing on Azure; and features of Generative AI on Azure. By earning the AI-900, you demonstrate to employers that you understand essential AI principles and can navigate Azure's AI ecosystem with confidence.

The AI-900 certification does not expire. Once earned, it remains valid indefinitely without requiring renewal. This makes it a low-risk, high-value investment in your professional development. The certification serves as a stepping stone toward more advanced certifications, such as Azure Data Scientist Associate or Azure AI Engineer Associate, though it is not a prerequisite for any of them.
