Common Intermediate Language Instructions

The lesson covers the most important IL instructions including CALL and CALLVIRT for static and virtual method dispatch, LDARG for accessing method parameters, NEWARR and element load/store for array operations, RET for return values, and built-in support for exception handling. We show that 1-dimensional arrays have dedicated optimized IL instructions not available for other collection types.
