Azure dashboards combine KQL-rendered charts into auto-refreshing portal surfaces for at-a-glance monitoring, while alert rules trigger actions (email, SMS, Azure functions, or runbooks) when metrics exceed thresholds or KQL queries return failures. Smart detection uses machine learning to learn normal load patterns and automatically fire on anomalous behavior.
