Details
The AZ-305: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification is an expert-level credential designed to validate your subject matter expertise in designing cloud and hybrid solutions that run on Microsoft Azure. This exam is ideal for students who already hold the Azure Administrator Associate certification and want to advance their careers by demonstrating the ability to advise stakeholders and translate business requirements into designs for Azure solutions that align with the Azure Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework for Azure. The certification covers five core areas: designing identity, governance, and monitoring solutions; designing data storage solutions; designing business continuity solutions; designing infrastructure solutions; and designing secure and compliant network solutions. Through this credential, you demonstrate proficiency in designing solutions across compute, network, storage, monitoring, and security domains.
The AZ-305 certification expires after one year and must be renewed. You can renew for free by passing an online renewal assessment during the six-month window before your certification expires. If your certification lapses, you must retake and pass the full AZ-305 exam to regain it.
The Azure Administrator Associate certification is a prerequisite for earning the Azure Solutions Architect Expert credential. You must hold an active AZ-104 before or after passing AZ-305 to officially receive the expert certification.
Professional and Business users can set certification goals and track their skill proficiency.
