The DP-100: Azure Data Scientist Associate certification is an associate-level credential designed to validate your subject matter expertise in applying data science and machine learning to implement and run machine learning workloads on Azure. This exam is ideal for students who already have foundational knowledge of Python and machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow, and want to demonstrate their ability to build and operate machine learning solutions in the cloud. The certification covers four core areas: designing and preparing a machine learning solution; exploring data and training models; preparing a model for deployment; and deploying, managing, and monitoring scalable machine learning solutions. Through this credential, you also demonstrate knowledge of optimizing language models for AI applications using Azure AI services.
The DP-100 certification expires after one year and must be renewed. You can renew for free by passing an online renewal assessment during the six-month window before your certification expires, demonstrating that you have kept current with the latest Azure Machine Learning updates. If your certification lapses, you must retake and pass the full DP-100 exam to regain it.

About The Exam
The Azure Data Scientist Associate (DP-100) exam consists of approximately 50 questions (the exact number varies slightly from one test to another) and you have 100 minutes to complete it. You must achieve a passing score of 700 out of 1000 points to pass.
The exam mixes several question formats to assess your knowledge. You can expect the classic single-answer multiple-choice items, multiple-select questions where two or more options are correct, and drag-and-drop questions. There are also occasional yes/no questions.
